Raj Haldar aka Lushlife is a Philidelphia experimental rapper that explores hip hop, indie-alternative, psychedelic, and transient circa 80’s LA nightclub beats.
Ritualize is produced by the production trio CSLSX and features contributions from Ariel Pink, Killer Mike, Freeway, and RJD2 among others. One of four pre-release order tracks, “Body Double” starts out with bright, vibrant, rhythm and synth, until the beat drops with refreshingly explicit conscious rap verses. Lushlife can be considered talented, progressive and deep, definitely an artist to explore and watch out for this year.
