Northside Festival has one of the largest lineups in the music festival scene, making it hard to pick and choose which acts to see and when. Today, we have selected 13 bands which may get overlooked to give idea of the variety and potential happening at the festival.

Origami Sun – “Mangoes”
This band is great for a relaxing set, presenting some catchy, heartfelt folk-rock in a fresh, innovative fashion to get you in the festival mode.

Heavy Birds – “White Elephant Bowls”
This track is minimal but transcendent. It takes listeners on a journey, almost like a trance with it’s enchanting vocals and repetitive, mystic instrumentation.

Cloud Becomes Your Hand – “Sand of Sea”
Cloud Becomes Your Hand is a wonderfully quirky, avant-garde spin on alternative rock. Enjoy some great strings mixed with some strange bubbling and popping of strange sounds, which are always surprising and fun.
Beech Creeps – “Times Be Short”
If you’re looking for something harder for the festival, Beech Creeps is a good way to get something crusty and intense, raw and full of static to get you hyped for the week.

Girlyboi – “Actual Woman”
Delightfully ambient, “Actual Woman” is like walking on air through a mist of atmospheric, feminine vocals. It has a powerful, underlying beat, an experience not to be missed.
Banned Books – “Must Be a Ghost”
If you’re looking for something truly off-the-wall, with vocals and vibe similar to of Montreal, this is the place to go. It is a funky mix of sounds, and presents a sound unlike any other.

Journalism – “Face I”
Journalism is a great new blend of progressive and alternative rock, with great crescendos and anticipation in their writing. The vocals are honest and gritty as well for a great classic vibe.
Kidaudra – “Coral Daze”
For some truly great dream-pop instrumentation, Kidaudra provides. Keeping it classy with minimal vocals, the beats speak for themselves as they lull listeners into bliss.

No Ice – “We Get High Together”
This is probably the most fun you’ll have on this list. No Ice creates a song that is not only dance worthy, but makes you feel like you are making memories with the genuine vocalization and doo-wap backing vocals.
