London based pop rock quartet Beach Baby have just released a fun surf rock single “Limousine” (which can be listened to below via SoundCloud) that is accurately reflective of the band’s name that is available to the public now via Chess Club Records.
“Limousine” paints a perfect picture of rolling around the California coast in a limousine with the sun roof open on a warm breezy summer day where you have absolutely no cares in the world and just want to have fun. Its deep bass groove acts as a bit of a funky back bone while the rest of the tune is straight up fun pop rock. Stereogum goes into further detail saying:
Beach Baby are a London four-piece who first caught our attention with the post-punk jangle “No Mind No Money.” Since then, they’ve shared the bleached, dreamy “U R” and today we get another new one, “Limousine.” It rolls along on a deep bassline and some funky guitar grooves, and sounds exactly like the kind of carefree surf rock I would want to blast if I was gleefully leaning through the sun roof of a limousine. I really wish I was.
“Limousine” is the perfect track to help you deal with the coming Autumn season while pining for the warm Summer days that we have just recently left behind. I know I’ll be listening to it for that a lot.
