Belle Mare released their new single “Cicada”, their first new song since their EP The Boat Of The Fragile Mind debut in 2013. They have certainly come a long way from recording and writing in a Brooklyn apartment. They hope to build on from their songwriting techniques yet keep their unique minimalistic sound. For this single they played around with some new instruments and arrangements, creating a more expansive sound.
To promote “Cicada” and the album scheduled to come out in the Fall, Belle Mare is playing three shows in NYC starting Friday (2/27) at the Knitting Factory. Details on their upcoming shows will follow in the months to come.
