Cian Nugent – “Lost Your Way”

Cian-Nugent-Night-Fiction

Irish singer/guitarist Cian Nugent has just put out a twangy alternative new single “Lost Your Way” (which can be listened to below via SoundCloud) that will be on his upcoming album “Night Fiction” that comes out on January 20th via Woodist.

I have to say, gentle finger picking upon such a clean sounding electric guitar is always a soul soothing sound to me. Nugent seems to have mastered that art form in its entirety. In a way “Lost Your Way” kind of reminds me of some of Izzy Stradlin’s solo work post-GN’R. Stereogum goes into further detail, saying:

Cian Nugent, presumably no relation to Ted, is an Irish guitarist who’s built up a serious reputation in the free-form fingerpicking world. He’s already released two instrumental albums, but next year, he’ll give us Night Fiction, the first LP that’ll feature his vocals as well as his guitar skills. We’ve already posted his song “Things Don’t Change That Fast,” and now he’s shared a lovely amble called “Lost Your Way,” a lo-fi track that’s two parts Kurt Vile and maybe one part Television.

If you need something to put your mind at ease and put you back on the right track then find your way to “Lost Your Way”.
