Noise Trade and Sufjan Stevens are being super generous, you guys! From the Noise Trade website:
Departing from the singer-songwriter format of his first Asthmatic Kitty album, A Sun Came, this collection of fourteen colorful instrumental compositions combines Sufjan’s noted gift for melody with electronic sounds to create an unusually playful and human- not to mention humane-electronic experience. It is the most underrated and overlooked album in Sufjan’s discography, containing in capsule form what he would later unpack into more palatable music.
First released in 2001 on CD, 2014—the Year of the Horse—brings the original recording back as a double-LP set, the first disc clear and the other left to fortune.
And no one can foresee who will receive one of two very special boxes of fortune cookies, containing fortunes penned especially for this occasion by Sufjan himself. (Check with your local record store too!)
