Bristol producer Vessel makes “noise”, built upon an intricate web of dub and techno, defying any sense of structure. Driven by off-kilter melodies and shifting rhythms, his music doesn’t aim to be easy, but it’s this sonic ingenuity that makes it some perversely infectious.
The music of Container, aka Rhode Island’s Ren Schofield, lives somewhere at the crossroads of noise and techno. His heady rhythms and storms of noise, churn chaotically with kinetic energy, moving each song forward without actually going anywhere.
