“Bad Pop” by Hot Panda from Bad Pop

Track Review:

Take a jolt back to 1985 with Hot Panda’s infective punk-rock sounds that morph and warp pop-rock. “Shake it all over” the vocals encourage because… “Go on and do it…it doesn’t matter.” Ha! They said they might as well join the circus – music industry life can be stressful. Hot Panda goes ballistic in this piece against corporate madness. This track is mainstream enough that it will more than likely be on the radio in the near future.

Hot Panda, releasing Bad Pop their fourth album on 22 April 2016, is made up of Chris Connelly on guitar and vox; Catherine Hiltz on bass, vox, trumpet, and cello; Aaron Klassen on drums and vox. Collin Brennan said, “…oh boy, does this song have it in for all those corporate shills who run this stinkin’ joint” (CoS). Brennan noted that snarkiness is intended as the band described “Bad Pop” as “a snarky reflection on the music business” (CoS).
