Dutch avant-garde composer and a baroque lutenist Jozef Van Wissem will return to the US next week for a string of tour dates, including performances at Big Ears and Mission Creek Festivals. In anticipation of these dates, Van Wissem is sharing his video for “Confinement”, a cut from last year’s It Is Time for You to Return. Stereogum, who premiered the video, call it a “moody clip that magnifies the passing moments when vision is obscured by deep shadows or blinding lights” ; a perfect accompaniment to the track’s “bubbling, barely-there synths and minimal electronic percussion.”
