Mexican based garage/punk rock band Le Bucherettes have some bold new music to start a youthful revolution to coming your way in the form of their new album “A Raw Youth” which will be released September 18th on Ipecac Recordings.

“A Raw Youth” seems to be a primarily a punk rock record, but at the same time it seems to implement many different genres from synth pop to more swingy numbers. It is a musically eclectic record to say the least; which is good because it keeps your interest hooked and prevents things from getting repetitive and stale. To keep things more interesting, the record also features Iggy Pop and Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante on a couple of tracks.

As for the lyrical and overarching message meant to be gotten across in “A Raw Youth” singer/guitarist/keyboardist Teri Gender Bender says:

“We can all be free if we want to,” she declares. “You take those transmissions and become A Raw Youth or a part of that oppressive society. Youth doesn’t mean young. It’s the essence of being resilient against so many of life’s struggles. In every decade or era, there’s always a rebel who gives inspiration for the poets to write about. That person holds the light. These songs tell those tales.”

That being said, if you’re looking for some powerful driving new music to inspire you to stay young at heart and cause a rock n’ roll ruckus of a revolution, “A Raw Youth” will be one of your best options.
