“I Let You Dance” by Economics from The Wastes

1.  Track Review:

Dean Summach, of Economics, released The Wastes on 28 October 2014. “I Let You Dance” is the final track on the LP. The album itself – known as the sole “divorce-themed dance album” – is a journey of transformation. Beginning with “We Didn’t Make It” – a duet of statement-response between Summach and his Ex-Wife – The Wastes takes the listener on an emotional rollercoaster. But not in the way one would expect. He says, “I can’t wait to be alone. I can’t wait to see you go. I can’t wait to walk away.” As with Economics other tracks, “I Let You Dance” is upbeat and creative, displaying heavy direction from the music. Various artists and lyricists contributed to The Wastes, but this track was written by Economics – music and lyrics – showing Economics evolved state from the instrumental background.
