Micachu and the Shapes have announced that they will be releasing their new LP, Good Sad Happy Bad, through Rough Trade on September 11th.
The record was born out of an unrehearsed jam session that was secretly taped by drummer Marc Pell on his field recorder. Mica and other bandmate Raisa Khan liked it so much, it formed the backbone of the album. Says Mica, “For me, it’s the most free we have been.”
The new song, “Oh Baby,” is full of primal energy with vocals that sound like their bursting from champagne bottles. Listen to the track below.
