Preview: 311 Tour

Good glory, it has been a scorcher out there lately! Music fans all over the country and even the world have been suffering from the intense heat. Luckily, better days lie ahead with good tunes coming to NYC. Case in point, multi-platinum rock band and honored men of summer, 311 are back in full swing this season for a series of dates throughout North America. As a bonus, special guest Matisyahu will be joining them as well as they unleash the glory of infectious tunes once again. Not only will they heat things up a bit more, but a cool nostalgic feel will be right with them.

311, Nick Hexum, S.A. Martinez, Tim Mahoney, Chad Sexton and P-Nut, recently celebrated “311 DAY” with two special shows in March at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans. The arena of diehard fans bought tickets from all 50 US States & 15 countries. Billed as “the ultimate 311 concert experience,” the 311 DAY show included an extended setlist of hits and rarities. 311 played 85 different songs over the weekend, including four with a 25-person Gospel Choir joining them. How can it get better than that?

Fans may remember the crew from their hit song Amber back in the day. The groove is one that remains a popular staple for many fans far and wide. Their extensive touring and studio releases have helped keep them in the forefront of the music scene all the while. Luckily, 311 are currently writing and recording their 12th studio album for projected release in early 2017. Listeners will have to go see them live to get a taste of what is to come, it will all be good, without a doubt.
