1. Track Review:
Cascine released Yumi Zouma’s latest single. Breathy lyrics and synth-pop signify Yumi Zouma’s dreamlike sound. Michelle Geslani said, “Yumi Zouma’s latest track, a pillowy offering titled ‘Barricade (Matter of Fact)”, marked the beginning of their creative process” (CoS). Geslani quoted Josh Burgess of Yumi Zouma from an interview on FADER; Burgess said, “We worked in isolation on our first tow EPs but last year we made a conscious effort to write together…a way to squeeze every idea of us and chop the collective best bits into a track” (CoS).
