Spring color clash in æˆéƒ½.
I walk and reflect.
As our time is put in retrospect.
All we’ve done to persist.
Things often too hard to resist.
That call for home.
Or that need to simply roam.
Those nudging regrets.
About life’s cruelest upsets.
That missed goodbye.
Much too big to quantify.
It broke me apart.
But you, you helped mend my heart.
Our separation’s near.
But I tell you, you’re more than just my fellow volunteer.
You gave me more than just a shoulder.
Building a friendship stronger than any boulder.
Witnessed by mountains and starry desert skies.
What the future holds we can only surmise.
But one thing’s for sure.
You’re my two years’ biggest treasure.
