The German federal elections will roll out on September 22nd. Inspired by this Alexander Svensson created a sarcastic version of it. Maybe because everybody knows Angela Merken will win? Regardless of his reasons, it looks funny. UPDATE – Alexander Svensson got back at us and this is what he said:
“Well, the main reason is obviously that I very much enjoy Game of Thrones, so I thought I’d remix it a bit: How would a Lannister campaign look like (probably somewhat sinister)? How would the Stark or Daenerys posters look like? (At first, I thought of designing the posters like the real German campaign posters, but those are not very memorable and it’s not too convincing to compare the German political parties to the GoT houses).
A quick explainer: The Lannister poster basically says ‘Vote Lannister. Live safely.’, Daenerys takes to Street Art, the Greyjoy’s campaign is dull but inexpensive, Jon Snow’s posters get destroyed quite often (this one carries the message ‘You know nothing, Jon Snow’), the Night’s Watch wants more attention on border issues and the Starks’ townhall meeting had to be cancelled due to unforeseen events.”
So there you have it, folks.
