The New York Times posted an article about an M.I.T. study in regards to false memories that pretty much proves that people are still confused about what happened in Inception.
Basically, what they did was shock mice in one quadrant and “incepted” the memory that the event happened in a different location. The scientists could see the cells in their brains indicating that they were fooled. When the mice were brought to that first location (where they had not been shocked), they were scared shitless.
