Sure, you may not have heard his name, but this Helsinki homie is the definition of dynamite sampling. tomppa’s summer festival ep is a flat-out fun ride for instrumental lovers. His mixes reach levels of subtle darkness, weekend fuck frenzy, and a good ‘ol dose of hip-hop.
The EP clocks in at just under eight minutes, leaving ears like raindrops in a puddle of mellowness. When I asked him what made him create this mini-jam, he said he was “inspired by summer and childhood memories.” Infinitely noted.
tomppa will turn heads soon. No doubt about that.
